Hungerford Comedy Club is our town's very own comedy venue, featuring professional acts from the Comedy Circuit in London and the South. Every two months, we host a line up of established and newer comedy talent, including acts that have graced the stage of bigger venues like the world famous Comedy Store and have TV and radio credits to their names.
Nik Hill is 2022 winner of Leicester Comedy Festival Silver Stand Up of the Year competition. The comp is open to any comedian, established or up-and-coming over the age of 55, so winning that award really shows the quality of his act.
Alexis is an actor and comedian with an interesting childhood that forms the basis for most of her comedy reflections. Sibling rivalry and weird parenting are a running theme in this instantly likeable performer.
Neil is a Gloucester boy with a few tales of walking a fine line between right and wrong.
Rob Deering performs stand-up comedy with music, using a guitar, a loop pedal and his voice to create impressive rock and pop soundscapes – and do jokes, of course.
Along with being one of the most in-demand headliners on the UK circuit, he's toured nationally and performed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe many times since starting out in comedy in the year 2000. His late-night, live-music comedy pop quiz Beat This is a festival institution, on London's South Bank, at Wales' Green Man and many more besides Edinburgh.
Rob has performed in shows from the Middle East to Melbourne, Shanghai to the South of France, and he has appeared on any number of Radio and TV shows, often using his extensive knowledge of film, popular music and… well, 'general'; he has won Celebrity Mastermind and a comedians' special of the Weakest Link on BBC One, for example.
